A homage to the World’s last Nomadic communities

Immerse yourself into alternative ways of inhabiting land and dive into cultural heritage passed down from several generations.

Bajau, Borneo (Malaysia)
For millennia, wayfaring communities have cultivated farmland and shepherded livestock across different types of terrain. Following seasonally available wild plants and prey, nomadic hunter-gatherers make up for the oldest human subsistence method. Furthermore, several roaming populations have moved among densely populated areas to trade their specialized services like crafts and skills. In correlation with systematic agriculture, urbanization, environmental issues, the dashing growth of industry, and the policies of governments, the remnants of these transient livelihoods are on the verge of existence. With the Last Nomads being confronted by the boon and bane of modernity, we now have a chance to shine a light on our cultural heritage.
